Shalom M. Paul is Professor of Bible and former Chair of the Department of Bible at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has published extensively in the area of Bible and the Ancient Near East, including a scientific commentary on the book of Amos. Robert A. Kraft is Berg Professor of Religious Studies and Chair of the Religious Studies Graduate Group at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. His research and publications have concentrated on aspects of the study of Judaism and Christianity in the Greco-Roman world, including the use of computers in such work. Lawrence H. Schiffman is Edelman Professor of Hebrew and Judaic Studies and Chair of the Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies at New York University. He is an editor of the journal Dead Sea Discoveries and a member of the International team of editors of the series Discoveries in the Judaean Desert. Weston W. Fields is Executive Director of the Dead Sea Scrolls Foundation and author of Sodom and Gomorrah: History and Motif in Biblical Narrative (Sheffield, 1997).
