Elisabet M. Stone was born in Hempstead, Texas, a town once known as ?Six Shooter Junction.? She worked at newspapers and magazines where she did everything from covering police to society and editing a tropical garden page. She has lived and worked all over the country but mainly in New Orleans, New York, Atlanta, Miami, and Washington D.C.
