MARIAN PRENTICE HUNTINGTON is a student of world religions and a member of the Marin Interfaith Council in northern California. She works to improve the health of homeless and impoverished children through a charity she founded, NovatoSpirit. Previously, she was an investigative reporter for the Pulitzer-prizewinning Point Reyes Light newspaper and a professor of journalism at Sonoma State University. She is also the author of Movement and Mentorship, Healing Kids through Sports about her charitable work with children, and Anis Asylum about helping an immigrant family achieve political asylum. She has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the World of Childrens Humanitarian Award and the Marin County Womens Hall of Fame.
