Barbara Rodell, A nominated Emmy Award actress
several times for her many roles starting with
Flame in the Wind, Another World, Secret Storm,
Guiding Light, and as Joyce Coleman Hughes on
As The World Turns for almost ten years. As a
producer for The Catholic Guarding Society and
the 75th Anniversary event which she created
with the theme of Daytime Stars attending which
was a success and she received an award from the
Catholic Guarding Society for her work for them.
She also produced two events for the New York Founding Hospital
dealing with the process of adoption of children through the Founding
Hospital and another event bringing children of all ages to adults wanting
to adopt children. A special thanks to Michael Zaslow who was a major
soap opera star and had two adopted daughters and was present at the
event sharing his experience as a parent who had gone through the
adoption experience. Michael has passed on and was an inspiration to
many as he dealt with ALS. Most important to Barbara in her life is as
a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. Future projects are the
writing of a children's book.
