I write edgy, contemporary novels. My rookie pastor drinks (a little), swears (too much) and rarely has the correct Biblical answer. There are no easy answers, prayer never works, but barely, kinda, somewhat happy endings abound. Just like real life. But the next day, he gets out of bed, walks his three-legged dog named Lucky, and leads with love. Subjects include: Teen suicide, (mis)treatment of the elderly, drug abuse, sexual abuse, dogfighting, single parenthood, gay/lesbian issues, racism. Real people dealing with real life. __________ I have bussed tables, operated robots, worked in HR, served in the National Guard, and worked in hospital management. I live in western North Carolina with his wife. My daughter and grandkids live too far away, and my neighbors live too close.
