Alfred P. Doblin has spent most of his professional career working as a journalist, most notably as the Editorial Page Editor of "The (Bergen) Record" in New Jersey. Writing a twice-weekly column and editorials, he has been recognized by numerous state and national journalism associations, including the American Society of News Editors (ASNE) award for excellence in editorial writing, the Society of the Silurians, NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists, and was nominated four times for the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Newspaper Columnist. In February 2024, he was announced as a runner-up in the Saints and Sinners 2024 Fiction Contest, part of the Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival. He is also the grandson of the German novelist Alfred Döblin. Currently working in communications, Doblin lives in Brooklyn, NY. This is his first published book.
