In the third novel, "The Historical Constant," an historian conceives of a constant akin to Plank's Constant, that will make any period of history equally important. In the fourth novel, "Ballin'," a professional basketball player deals with mafiosa who are closing in on his family. In the fifth novel, a popular podcast host tries to have it all but comes crashing down. In the sixth novel, "A Kind of Quietism," an Almont heir opts for the passive life. All these characters live at the Almont, a former New York City mansion that has been converted into six coops.
