Rev. Dr. Jose Kaimlett (1941?2018), born at Palakattumala in the Diocese of Palai, Kerala, India, was a great missionary priest of our times. Holder of a doctorate in Canon Law, he was a great visionary who contributed enormously to the Catholic Church and to society at large, both as a missionary and a philanthropist. He is the founder of three religious congregations: Heralds of Good News (HGN), Sisters of Good News (SGN), and Missionaries of Compassion (MC), besides the establishment of numerous social, educational, and healthcare institutions in India and abroad.
Fr. Jose was quite unique and original in many ways. One of the striking aspects of his personality was that he always attempted to make a very fruitful combination of his brain and heart. Hence, his altruistic and humanitarian concerns were founded on divine inspiration and daring initiatives even in the midst of adverse situations and discouragements. He always ventured to care for the integral development of all the people around him, even when they disregarded him.
His absolute trust in Divine Providence and his daring initiatives encourage us to commit our lives to worthwhile causes of the larger human society founded on a solid and secure self-awareness. Fr. Jose can be an inspiration to anyone who feels let down in life?from family and friends?and to make a daring leap forward to pursue and construct one's own life in a fruitful manner.
The author claims that the life-story of Fr. Jose can be an inspiration and encouragement to anyone in any walk of life.
