Marissa van Uden, EiC of Violet Lichen Books, is the editor of ECO24: The Year's Best Speculative Ecofiction, the Apex Strange Microfiction series, and the award-winning The Off-Season: An Anthology of Coastal New Weird. She interviews authors for Apex Magazine, and her short stories have appeared in Vastarian Literary Journal, Dark Matter Magazine, and Small Wonders, among others. She is a lifelong nature lover who gave up on big cities to move into a little cabin in the woods, overlooking a beaver pond. Originally from Aotearoa New Zealand, she now lives in Lamoille, Vermont.
