Dr. Daniel Ward, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Information Technology at Southern New Hampshire University. A multidisciplinary scholar, his research interests include both Operational Technology cybersecurity and Cyberpsychology. With over 15 years of leadership experience in the manufacturing technology sector, Dr. Ward brings a practical, "systems thinking" approach to his writing. This technical foundation is uniquely balanced by his background in the behavioral sciences, including advanced degrees in Psychology and Cybersecurity. He is the author of works exploring the complex intersection of technology and society, ranging from the impact of Artificial Intelligence on political polarization to the intimate dynamics of maintaining healthy relationships while navigating bipolar disorder. Dr. Ward holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology, an MS in Psychology, an MS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science, using his diverse expertise to diagnose societal and policy fractures and offer pathways toward resilience.
