GERRY GILLCASH: Born and raised in the Moncton, New Brunswick area where these events took place, he attended Lutes Mountain Schools. He was an Aero Engine Technician in the Royal Canadian Air Force, earning a commission to the officer ranks and retired as a Captain in 1994. For more than thirty years, he has been actively involved with a local museum, where he now writes and shares the rich and colorful stories of Magnetic Hill and the Mountain area?bringing Canadian history to life at its best and recovering the mystery that offers deep insight into this community and the fires that devasted the region.
