Isaac Marais, aka Saki, has been a teacher all his life in places such as South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. He has taught a wide variety of subjects, which include math, physics, chemistry, woodworking, and metalworking. Together, they thought of a difficult topic to write about and agreed it must be written in English, since that is Isaac's weakest language. So, at the age of seventy-four, Isaac sat down and wrote 'Kat with a K.'
