Dr. Aji Chawla is still reeling after her divorce and hospital layoff when she receives news that her estranged father passed away. As the dutiful eldest daughter, she returns to Misty Pines, a quiet town in the Pocono Mountains, so she can attend the funeral and support her mother. There, she encounters the last person her father was supposed to meet the night he died: her ex-husband's older brother, Rohan.

Before she can interrogate Rohan about his presence, Aji learns that her father left a will which requires all three Chawla daughters to live at The Lotus Inn for six months. Together.
