This manual is intended as a study guide for preparing to take the South Carolina Pesticide Applicator Certification Core and Private Exam that was developed jointly by the Pesticide Resources Collaborative (PERC) and the Clemson Cooperative Extension Service. It satisfies the basic applicator training requirements of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and prepares applicators for the certification exam. Topics covered include pesticide labels, safety, environmental protection, and proper application techniques.
