Arthur L. Scinta is the town historian and former mayor of Pelham, New York. He has decades of experience in historic preservation, law, public service, and real estate. After a successful legal career at one of New York's largest law firms, Scinta founded a residential real estate firm. Drawing on his background in architecture and historic preservation, he is an active writer and frequent speaker on local New York history. He has also founded, worked for, provided pro bono legal services to, and is a current and past board member of several organizations dedicated to promoting history and architectural preservation, including the Pelham Preservation Society, the Westchester County Historical Society, and the Historic House Trust of New York City. This is his first book.
