Richard Dredge has long been fascinated by the stories behind the everyday cars that sold in huge numbers, as well as more obscure show cars and low-volume models. An experienced photo-journalist, he has written for magazines as diverse as Practical Classics and Classic Car Weekly as well as Top Gear, Auto Express and What Car. The first book that Richard ever wrote, back in 2002, was on the history of Volvo. This new volume comprehensively updates and massively expands that story. Kevin Price founded the Volvo Enthusiasts' Club (VEC, volvoenthusiastsclub.co.uk) in 1989. He bought his first Volvo, a Jensen-built P1800, in the late 1970s, and since then his collection has expanded to include the P1800 driven by Roger Moore in The Saint, a BTCC 850 estate racer and the King of Sweden's 1953 PV831 limousine. Kevin has produced every VEC magazine since the club started and is internationally recognised for his knowledge and support of Volvo. |
