This scientific material has been prepared to assist students in the Civil Engineering Department at engineering colleges and higher engineering institutes in understanding and mastering civil and structural engineering drawing.
Civil engineering branches into many specialized engineering disciplines, each considered a field and science in its own right. This sub-discipline may be further divided into several other sciences, such as structural engineering (concrete and steel structures), sanitary and municipal engineering, environmental engineering, road, bridge, and airport engineering, soil mechanics and foundations, surveying, and water and irrigation engineering (irrigation and drainage engineering, hydraulic structures) (bridges, weirs, dams, culverts, locks, water reservoirs, etc.) and other industrial structures.
